Over the last almost ten years, there have been so many amazing memories and proud moments, from the blessing of our new turf field to just managing and thriving through a global pandemic, coming out stronger than we went into it. But probably one of my most proud moments has been welcoming back to campus students who I gave a diploma only a few years before as teachers in our classrooms. We now boast that over 20% of our employees are Spellman grads!
I am currently serving in my 9th year as president of Cardinal Spellman. I have served in school administration for 18 years from Connecticut to Rhode Island to Nashville, TN and a few other stops in between. I studied at Franciscan University, Providence College, Mount Saint Mary's, Vanderbilt, and Oxford receiving degrees in Philosophy, Ethics, Theology, and Business. My wife Michelle and I have three amazing children, Vincenza (Chenzy) age 12, Isaac 11, and Finn 9. We live outside of Newport RI in the small town of Tiverton. It is a great spot to call home with the ocean so close and great opportunities for the kids we truly enjoy the area. Both my wife and I love the outdoors, she for gardening, hiking, and photography, and I for surfing, snowboarding, hiking and chasing my kids around the back yard! We also love the theater, and good cinema, as well as spending as many nights as we can with three kids out sampling new restaurants and engaging the Newport food scene.
